IT Support Specialist

About the job:
We are looking for experienced IT Support Specialists who has hands on experience supporting, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware and peripherals. The ideal candidates will have their A+ certification, experience working with ticketing systems, VPN's, Microsoft Office, and 2-5 years of experience. This position is a 1-Year contract position with a Fortune 200 client.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups
- Resolve calls that have been escalated in the Call Tracking system and assume primary responsibility for client's Workstation support
- Provide hands-on and remote controlled Workstation support services while also providing expertise on support services when requested by peers and clients
- Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems
- Perform inventory on a regular basis

REQUIREMENTS:

- 2-5 years of experience in a Desktop or Desk side support role
- A+ Certification highly preferred
- MUST have RECENT experience with Windows XP & 7, and Microsoft Office Suite
- MAC experience is always a plus
- Blackberry experience is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong communication, organization and planning, work ethic, client facing and interpersonal skills.

In this environment there will be a lot of customer service needed along with the fast-pace challenging setting. Will be times where this person will need to translate technical terms into non-technical language. This individual will be a part of a team, but in some circumstances will be required to work independently. This position may also require some travel as needed. LOCATIONS: Carlsbad, CA

HOURS: 8am-5pm M-F

PAY RATE: $16-17/hr.

It is required that all contractors complete a background check and drug screen report. They must pass a drug screen with a positive clearance and the background check without the following convictions on their record
