We are currently searching for a HELPDESK CONSULTANT to work in Geneva, Switzerland. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a large international bank.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer/respond to incoming requests and resolve customer problems by phone and remotely on the user's system.
- Interact with customers and co-workers to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, and accurately document various technical problems.
- Support feature and usage of specific applications.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware problems.
- Document customer requests in call tracking system.
- Stay current on and adhere to established policies, procedures and documentation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office
- IT helpdesk experience is required
- Excellent spoken and written French and English required. Any other European language a plus (German, Italian, Spanish )
- ITIL certification is required
- Solid technical understanding of all aspects of running a multi-national helpdesk including Microsoft software, Active Directory, hardware, blackberry, mobile phone, Servers, etc.
- Conceptual & practical understanding of IT Support fundamentals.
- Experience with banking applications would be a plus

- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong problem solving skills and decision making ability.
- Strong enthusiasm and desire to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective listening skills.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Self-motivation and organization.
- Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
