IT Support Engineer/Storage

ENDEAVOUR RECRUITMENT ARE URGENTLY SEEKING AN IT SUPPORT ENGINEER TO WORK ON A 12-MONTH CONTRACT FOR A HOUSEHOLD OIL AND GAS COMPANYBASED IN RIJSWIJK, THE NETHERLANDS.

YOU WILL WORK IN A GLOBAL TEAM AND HAVE A CLOSE WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH END USERS AND IT OUTSOURCED SUPPLIERS, TO WHOM YOU WILL OPERATE AND DELIVER THE STORAGE SERVICE. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE END TO END PROBLEM MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE ACROSS THE STORAGE ENVIRONMENT.

YOUR ROLE:

- Develop tools and solutions either in house or in cooperation with storage service provider
- Work closely with end users requesting storage to understand their storage demand and type of storage required
- Document, maintain and improve service performance
- Maintain and implement new functionality and best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Isilon
- Good Exposure to Storage Technologies
- Linux
- Operational support experience
- NetApp and/or EMC Isilon Storage.
- ONTAP, Snapvault, Snapmirror, OnCommand/DFM, MetroCluster, quota management
- OneFS, SnapshotIQ, SyncIQ, InsightIQ, SmartQuotas, SmartPools, SmartConnect
- Active Directory and DFS
- Redhat Linux and/or Windows OS

PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS AN ENGLISH SPEAKING ROLE BASED IN THE NETHERLANDS, SOME EVENING CALLS OR EARLY WORK HOURS WILL BE REQUIRED DUE TO THE NATURE OF BEING IN A GLOBAL TEAM. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO BE ON AN ON-CALL ROTA SUPPORTING A 24/7 OPERATIONAL SERVICE.
