IT Support Engineer (Linux)

A Leading asset management firm requires a Systems Support Engineer to join its systems and storage team based in the financial district in Boston. The role will take ownership of the enterprise Linux environment as well as VMware and HP Hardware servers, putting in place best practices that will ensure optimal and increased performance as well as backup/recovery. Core responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance and administration of all Linux servers including performance tuning and optimizing to reach high levels of uptime. The role will sit in a small to mid sized team so is a good fit for someone who is able to work independently, but also when necessary as a close team unit. The organisation specialize in certain fields of asset management and are one of the longest serving in their particular field with an excellent market reputation which also includes one of the most stable rates of employment turnover.
