IT Support Analyst

Attitude and Temperament
A positive 'can do' attitude and a will to ensure that long-term solutions are applied wherever possible. The IT team needs people who constantly strive for 'first time' fixes, and ways to ensure working practice is as efficient and effective as possible. This should be coupled with a sense of urgency to ensure business critical tasks are prioritised.

The role also requires a steady and non-volatile approach to users and support. The image of quiet professionalism is the one we would want staff to adopt and promote.

Special Condition
To fulfil the demands of the post with due regard for all Company standing instructions, policies and procedures as implemented and amended. The post demands fulfilling responsibilities on occasions outside normal trading hours and flexible in work location.

Technical Skills
The job requires the following skills:-

General

- Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Operating systems

Experience

- TCP/IP and network troubleshooting
- Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory

Any experience with the following skills would be useful.

- MS Office 2003 and deployment strategies
- MS SQL server 7.5/2000/2005
- Lotus Notes and Domino 6.X
- Microsoft Exchange 2007
- Avaya IP Office
- CISCO Routers and Switches

- HP/Toshiba Printers/Multi-function units
- Windows XP andVista
- VMWARE 3.0
- Wyse Thin Client Terminals
- WIN CE.NET 5.0
- HP Open View
- Netapp Filer experience
- ITIL Standards
