IT Storage Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR to join our client in DUBLIN, CA. This position is a long term, 6 month contract opportunity with SAP AMERICAS.

Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve storage performance issues.
- Work with vendors to perform firmware upgrade.
- Work with vendors on replacement of failed components.
- Create new zones and modify existing zones to establish connectivity between storage and Servers.
- Provision storage for new server requests.
- Performance tuning, monitoring and proactive prevention of capacity related issues.
- Document any newly developed procedures.

Job Qualifications:
- Four (4) years Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive seven (7+ years) storage administration experience/knowledge including design, installation, upgrade, testing, maintenance of storage arrays, NAS devices, fiber channel Switches, preferably both Cisco MDS and Brocade.
- Strong Unix/Linux administration experience/knowledge including multipathing for storage on various OS platforms.
- Ability to work independently and in a team with high initiatives.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead/manage tasks and communicate well with technical and non technical staff.
