IT Solutions Architect/Consultant - Gateway, Verizon - Federal Governm

One of Canberra's largest Federal Government Departments is seeking a IT SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT/CONSULTANT to identify the optimal sourcing for the department's Internet gateway services. The successful applicant will be joining their IT team in Canberra for an initial 3 month contract with the view to extend.

You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Gain an understanding of the Verizon contract, service offerings and pricing structure and develop an Executive Summary of the issues and impact for the department to be addressed.
- Gain an understanding of the departments present Internet gateway services and usage sufficient for the development of a TCO model for the gateway's operation and maintenance (OPEX/CAPEX)
- Model the department's future Internet gateway requirements and forecast usage, taking in to account major change programs and use trends.
- Perform a sensitivity analysis on the TCO model showing how the department's costs would be impacted based on various usage profiles and service/sub-service sourcing
- Develop the next steps and relevant planning documents for the positioning of the department's Internet gateway services going forward

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;

- Experience with Government Internet Gateway systems
- Demonstrated experience planning, managing and reviewing service contracts for ICT business systems
- Cost modelling
- ICT service requirements analysis and ICT system architecture analysis/development
- Service contract analysis
- Project planning & Management
