Our Client is seeking an IT Solutions Architect.

In this IT Solutions Architect role, the person will oversee from an architectural perspective all aspects of the project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within a specific portfolio area.

The IT Solutions Architect will be involved in more than one project at one time depending on the size and scope of the initiatives.Role and Responsibilities

The IT Solutions Architect is a multi-dimensional role requiring both deep technical expertise and strong interpersonal and communications skills. The IT Solutions Architect provides technical oversight for solution development initiatives.

Reporting to the architecture team and working with the designated Portfolio Architects and assigned Project Managers, the IT Solutions Architect is responsible for providing architectural direction (design and technology) as part of the process of developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining systems.

The IT Solutions Architect maintains a challenging role as a member of both the Architecture and Project teams.

Qualifications

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
- 7+ years experience progressively advancing experience in IT projects in technical roles
- Strong understanding of application development and system development life cycle
- 4+ years experience working as an IT Architect
- Understanding of different types of integration patterns and experience with point to point and enterprise wide integration initiatives (such as SAP Data Services Oracle Fusion Middleware)
- Proficient diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with data Extract-Transform-Load (ETL), data quality, storage and reporting structures
- Business Intelligence and Information System architecture experience
- Semantic/business layer design experience
- Change Data Capture
- SAP's in-memory appliance
- Experience in multi-tiered web based solutions
- Proficient designing and building Enterprise Datawarehouse and data specific architectures
- Proficient in developing Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform 4 solutions
- Proficient collecting business requirements for the development of information management structures such as data marts
- Proficient with commercial RDBMS such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, etc.
- Proficient with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL languages.

Desired Skills:

- Understanding of oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of ITIL V3 Framework
- Experience integrating software as a service systems
- Knowledge of TOGAF, PEAF, Zachman or some related Enterprise Architecture Framework/Topology
- Segment architecture experience
- Application portfolio management experience
- Experience performing architecture governance
- Hyperion Essbase.
