IT Solution Engineer

For our pharma client in Zürich we are currently looking for a

IT SOLUTION ENGINEER

The solution engineer is responsible for driving one or more functional areas within IT on a global level, designing and implementing new solutions, technologies and concepts within the area of expertise.

TASKS

- Consults business functions in scoping projects, defining a problem statement and developing IT requirements from business requirements
- Determines operational feasibility of software solutions by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements analysis and solution configuration
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams charts and functional specifications.
- Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications and standards
- obtains required information from vendors by supporting RfPs through specifications; recommending purchases; testing and approving products
- Develops software solutions and improves operations by conducting system analysis and by studying information needs, confers with users, studies systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigates problem areas and recommends changes in policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge in Software Engineering, eg. Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Testing
- Requirement analysis and problem solving
- Basic IT knowhow on data type, design principles and software architecture
- Basic project management skills
- Sound business process modelling skills
- Teamwork
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field preferred
- Working knowledge of Software Engineering, application integration, and change control processes
- Configuration, implementation or integration experience
