IT Solution Architect

For an Air Traffic Management client, Eurocity is looking for a SOLUTION ARCHITECT. The Solution Architect is the link between the business stakeholders and the technical development teams, providing the technical guidelines and expertise to projects, developing new solutions and technical specifications as well as providing expertise in technical & software development areas.

TASKS

- Using business requirements, writing technical specifications
- Solution design and architecture
- Production of technical documentation linked to architecture artefacts
- Provision of technical presentation and software roadmaps
- Presentation to stakeholders of technical solutions
- Building high level prototypes to demonstrate feasibility

MUST HAVE (KNOCK OUT CRITERIA)

- Solid experience in Architecture process and tools
- Excellent knowledge of UML and practical experience with modelling tools
- Good experience with software development projects as developer or architect
- Strong experience in safety critical systems, high availability systems, Real Time and mission critical systems
- Experience in data architecture, Datamodelling, DB tools, DB design (Oracle, SQL), storage, backup
- Practical experience with Object Oriented methodology & design patterns
- Knowledge of Middleware and integration tools (ESB, EAI, Web services)
- Knowledge of Web technologies like web Servers, application Servers, collaboration tools, content management systems & web services
- Knowledge of Air Traffic Management is a strong asset
- Master's degree or equivalent through experience
- Fluent in English and French would be an asset
- Knowledge of Real Time & mission critical systems
- Very good interpersonal skills to communicate with the stakeholders (users, analysts, developers, testers, support teams ) and to present technical solutions
- Ability to document technical solutions from different perspectives, users, developers, support, deployment & security
