IT Service Operations Manager

Currently seeking an experienced and highly competent IT Service Operations Manager to work on our major client site based in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a key role where you will have overall responsibility and accountability for the day to day operational management of IT Services to the business, this will include;

- Providing support and expertise to the IT department during a transitional period while a new IT Director is being recruited
- Act as a point of senior escalation out of hours on evenings and weekends
- Develop processes for formal problem management and incident management
- Provide leadership and professional development for the Service Desk Manager and Infrastructure Team Manager, following ITIL best practices where necessary
- Work closely with the Acting Head of IT to improve maturity and capability of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support teams
- Ensure 3rd party service contracts are properly managed to provide smooth and consistent delivery of IT services to meet the needs of the organisation
- Support and lead in the operational activities around key projects being delivered as part of the project pipeline for the client.

Initial contract duration will be until the end of the year.

As the successful IT Service Operations Manager you will have the following skill set;
- Have 3+ years' experience with responsibility for delivering IT Services and managing operational staff
- ITIL v3 Foundation qualified
- Strong working knowledge of the following:

1. Network topologies and standard network architecture models
2. Enterprise-level systems such as MS Exchange, AD, IIS
- Experience in some or all of the following: Asset Management, SCCM implementation and MDM implementation.
