Smartsourcing are looking for an IT Service Manager to work in Exeter, South West. (SC) Clearance required

To lead the Application Assurance team responsible for the delivery of Application services. Leading appropriate in-depth technical and applications subject matter expertise to achieve the most effective and efficient use of business applications. To drive and influence the provision of Application services to ensure their overall functionality and performance meet business requirements; and changes do not adversely affect existing services. Management of a Continuous Service Improvement Plan. Ensure that the Application architecture is documented to an appropriate level in order to support ongoing maintenance activities.

Job Purpose

The programme manages a range of IT services underpinning key business services for both internal and external users. The post holder will help to review the existing IT services ensuring they are appropriately scoped and structured to meet the needs of the organisation. The post holder will also review and refine the processes used within the Infrastructure Operations teams to deliver the IT services, ensuring they follow best practice and deliver optimal benefit to the organisation.

Key tasks and deliverables

Responsibilities
1. Review the existing IT service model used within the organisation and help define the future service model required to underpin our business services.
2. Ensure that all appropriate service delivery processes are defined, applying best practice to enable delivery of world class IT services.
3. Undertake a review of service level agreements, applying best practice across the range of IT services to define and implement measurable service levels which are meaningful to the wider organisation.

Experience Required Essential Qualifications,

Skills Abilities SC Cleared

1. Proven experience of designing new services and service models within organisations
2. Show evidence of an organised and structured approach to work
3. Definition of service level agreements which align to business requirements and processes to support the delivery of services to these levels.
4. Ability to work with a wide range of staff at all levels across the whole business, leading change in the structure and management of IT services
5. Evidence of excellent communication skills
6. Qualified to ITIL Expert level

Desirable Qualifications, Skills Abilities
1. Experience of working in a DevOps environment
2. Qualified to ITIL Master Qualification
