IT Service Introduction Lead Job

IT SERVICE INTRODUCTION LEAD NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NClocation. Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Service Introduction Project Lead (with emphasis on project risk and operational readiness).
- The Service Introduction Project Lead (SIPL) will consult with Corporate Solutions Delivery, including representatives from the project, application, and infrastructure teams, regarding project controls, planning, procedures for successful project readiness, risk and mitigation.
- Working with IT P.M.'s to develop and enhance the Service Introduction process, driving process standards and improvements for project readiness and day-one performance. The project controls are already "baked in", the SIPL will make sure that all parties (project solution - production support) are adhering to these Embedded operational controls.
- Creating accountability through analysis for Service Introduction and Operational Readiness to ensure applications are reliable and supportable when delivered.
- Educating and assisting Project Managers to ensure all Service Introduction deliverables are achieved and successful transition from project to production support.
- Collaborating with Project Management, Applications, and Operations to understand, mitigate, or eliminate all issues impacting introduction of new or upgraded application standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Need to have experience with project leadership and organizational/planning skills; someone who is technically savvy to fully understand the solution being delivered and can facilitate technical conversations between the project team responsible for creating the solution and the production support teams who will be responsible for supporting it.
- Excellent communication/documentation skills are a must - this person is going to be responsible for documenting the service introduction activities, including results of the knowledge transfer and the collaboration between project and production support. Specific training on the Duke Service Introduction process and the deliverables that are required will be provided once the person is on boarded.
- May be working on multiple projects at any given time. Successful candidates can come from a PM, RISK, ITIL, Application/Sys. Development, Technical BA background .etc.
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
