IT Service Desk (SQL, Windows, Exchange)

Multiple IT SERVICE DESK Technicians with SQL experience are required for contract work in southern Italy as part of a growing international Service Desk team.

You must be fluent in English and have a technical support background. These are contract/freelance opportunities based on hourly pay rates and you will have to use your own limited company or register as a local freelancer with "partiva iva" to take up a position.

IT Service Desk duties:

- Provide phone responses to routine queries and incidents
- Log service calls and emails on the client's CRM system
- Manage and escalate user and support incidents when necessary
- Monitor and inform customers of outages, known errors and progress if these cannot be resolved by phone.
- Prioritise and analyse documented ticketed user issues
- Where applicable, ensure seamless hand-over of work across shifts and time zones
- Perform other Service Desk activities as required
- Work shifts or standby services as part of an extended service coverage scheme if needed.

Required Service Desk skills:

- You must be fluent in English and able to support users by phone, and a general application and all-round IT understanding is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a Service Desk or IT Support function.
- Your experience should include Windows, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes or other mail platforms.
- You must have SQL Scripting experience and an ability to perform a simple database updates with pre-approved scripts
- Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook client 2010/2013
- Experience in handling tickets within a CRM system.
- SAP ERP system knowledge is a bonus.
- You should be familiar with ITIL (certification is ideal).
- Italian, French and/or Spanish language skills are advantageous.

- Brindisi is in the south of Italy.
