IT Service Desk Associate

This is an initial year contract for a Service Desk Associate.

Our client is seeking IT professionals who are looking for an entry-level opportunity to start or enhance their IT career. The Service Desk is a front-line team and therefore, offers the opportunity to experience a variety of technologies through issue identification and resolution, as well as building customer service skills. There is potential for conversion to full time employment with the client.

This assignment starts with three weeks of training. The start date for training is June 1, 2015.

While this is an entry-level position, we are seeking candidates who have the desire and aptitude to build their technical knowledge/skills through a combination of experience and continued formal education enabling them to grow. The Service Desk is a call center environment that is heavily measured (eg call handle time), but offers a variety of technical experience to the right candidate.

We are seeking candidates who have a passion for technology, who can clearly articulate their future career goals, and who recognize why this role can help further their career goals.

You must have a minimum of an associate's degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. Degree must be complete by June 30, 2015.

Ideal Candidate:

Education - BA or BS in technical discipline (eg MIS, CS, Network Engineering, etc.)

Certifications - HDI or Cisco (HDI - Help Desk Institute, a professional organization for those working in the IT Service Management industry.)

Technical Experience: Hands-on and phone-based technical support experience in professional environment.

Customer Service: Phoned-based technical support experience
