IT Service Design Analyst-Cloud Infrastructure-South West

SCOM Service Design Analyst, Process Analyst Designer, Cloud Infrastructure, ITIL, required by our client based near to Salisbury, Wiltshire, South West.

To document service design aspects, including operational process flows for a new Microsoft-based private cloud infrastructure environment.

To focus on writing processes, change management, policy documents. The role will involve defining management processes but will not require consultants who have configured systems

This is a new infrastructure environment consisting of a new datacentre with provision for a Microsoft-based Private Cloud.

This will entail a brand new architecture consisting of the following key platforms and applications:

Core network, based around the Cisco 6513 chassis and incorporating Edge services, perimeter security, load-balancing and security management.

HP 3PAR Storage Area Network.

HP P2000 near and far line backup storage.

HP DL360/DL380 Gen 8 Servers (both physical and virtual).

Microsoft Hyper-V (Windows Server 2012 R2).

Microsoft Active Directory (Windows Server 2012 R2).

Microsoft Exchange 2013.

Microsoft Lync 2010.

System Center 2012 R2 consisting of:

o Virtual Machine Manager

o Operations Manager

o Configuration Manager

o Service Manager

o Orchestrator

o Data Protection Manager

o App Controller

To produce Service Definition Documents for all of the above infrastructure services to the ITIL Framework standards.

To analyse detailed requirements and produce Policy Documents based on the principles and concepts of the Private Cloud and covering the following:

Private Cloud Support Model

Private Cloud Service Level Agreement

Private Cloud Service Reporting

Private Cloud Security Policy

Infrastructure Capacity Planning Policy

Infrastructure WSUS and Release Management Policy

Infrastructure Configuration Management Policy

Private Cloud Disaster Recovery Policy

Identify and document Runbook process flows for System Center Orchestrator for standard infrastructure management and Maintenance activities (taken from documentation such as the Microsoft Operational Framework).

Create an Infrastructure Operational Wiki for standard changes affecting the Private Cloud (such as; add new server, replace switch etc.), including links to relevant Microsoft TechNet articles etc.

Identify and document key System Center Operations Manager Management Pack thresholds to meet the Private Cloud Service Agreement.

Identify and Document Private Cloud security mechanisms such as Role-Based Access Control, auditing and elevation of privilege etc.

Analyse and document the hand-over between the Private Cloud (System Center Service Manager) and the Incident Management solution for service affecting incidents.
