IT Security Support Specialist

Roc Search is currently recruiting for an IT Security Support Specialist to work for a client of mine in Prague, Czech Republic.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
*Develop appropriate systems recommendations to meet security guidelines, including system configurations.
*Prepare and present technical product information to the IT organization.
*Technical consulting to the IT organization and providing solutions to security incidents.
*Support Change Management activities.
*Assess IT risks and analyze potential mitigation strategies to reduce IT Security exposure
*Identify risks associated with changes on both technical and business issues and recommend a course of action
*Monitor and report IT risk status and trends
*Coordinate response to IT security alerts, threats and incidents
*Increase awareness of IT Risk responsibilities within Novartis
*Monitor alerts generated by security tools, including but not limited to a SIEM, and escalate alerts requiring further investigation.
*Monitor alerts correlated from multiple log source including network security devices, Servers, databases, and escalate alerts requiring further investigation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

*IT experience in a technical support role
*Understanding of possible attack activities such as network probing/scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, etc.
*Good understanding of IT best practices or ITIL foundation certification
*Certifications such as CISSP, Certified Intrusion Analyst (GIAC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred, not required.
