DURATION: 6 MONTHS + EXTENSION
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- DETECTION AND RESPONSE TO SECURITY INCIDENTS GENERATED BY THE DIFFERENT SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES DEPLOYED, REPORTED BY THE IT SERVICE DESK, INTERNAL STAFF OR OTHER MEDIUMS.
- PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A COMPUTER EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT/CIRT) OR IT SECURITY ENVIRONMENT
- Analyze events/alerts and escalate to incidents if necessary
- Provide initial response and investigation of confirmed security incidents
- Primary point of contact for handling incidents
- Log incidents and escalate to next level if required
- Perform Root Cause Analysis
- KNOWLEDGE WITH NETWORKING CONCEPTS AND PROTOCOLS (SUCH AS DNS, HTTP(S), SMTP, FTP, ETC.)
- CERTIFICATIONS SUCH AS GSEC, GCIH, CEH ARE PREFERRED.
- TRUSTWORTHINESS AND INTEGRITY.
- ABILITY TO TAKE DECISIVE ACTION BASED ON AVAILABLE INFORMATION IN A TIMELY MANNER.
