IT Security Specialist

For our banking client in Zürich we are currently looking for a security specialist:

Microsoft Windows Server Platform and Security Engineer is required to support the Data Protection EEC and Secure External Collaboration Projects: Data Protection/Endpoint Encryption/Pre-boot Authentication.

IT Security Specialists are responsible for all aspects of technical security implementation across applications and system environments (network, Middleware, software solutions, encryption, data protection). Responsibilities include implementation, operational management, ownership of all areas of IT security, providing input to the development of security policies and practices, data protection and IT security standards, enforcement and compliance auditing of security policies and procedures. At a senior level the role acts as a consultant on security solutions.

Essential skills:
. MCSE Server Infrastructure (or similar) and/or MCSE Desktop Infrastructure
. Experience in Security Solutions
. Working experience in complex environments and large companies
. English

Additional skills
. Experience of working within an IT Security organisation, a deep understanding of security principles, attack vectors and risk mitigation
. Good working knowledge of thin/fat/web applications,OSI model, Networking & Security
. Excellent end-to-end troubleshooting skills throughout the application & network layers
. Software Developer's background with focus on integration and troubleshooting
. Good working knowledge of common web services HTTP/HTTPS and network protocols and standards such as DNS,
. Authentication & Encryption protocols/services (x.509,2FA,AES,SSL)
. Experience of web programming/Scripting languages (Java, PowerShell, Perl, batch)
. Comfortable running calls with both business & technical stakeholders
. Good communicator in both written and spoken English (at least B2 of the common European reference)
. Knowledge of the German language is welcome, but not essential
. Able to conduct in-depth discussions about business and technical matters in English
. Capable of creating and maintaining high quality technical documentation
. Highly motivated, confident and capable of both working independently and within a geographically distributed team
