IT Security Officer - Controls, Policies - Belgium

I am currently working with a forward thinking Financial Services organisation in Brussels seeking an experienced IT Security Controls Officer to join on a contract/freelance basis for a long term assignment. An initial 3 month contract is on offer but the business have stated they could see this individual working with them well into 2019.

This role is focused around operational security, IT Controls & Policies and the ongoing development/communication of guidelines and procedures. The organisation is looking for someone to be able to make a long term business impact on their general IT/Information Security awareness and exposure to risk across the business.

The ideal candidate will speak fluent English and ideally also be able to communicate to a business level in either French or Dutch (although not essential).

The successful IT Security Controls Officer will boast:

- 4 to 5 years experience around IT Security/Operational Security
- Experience in defining IT/Information Security Controls and countermeasures
- Vast exposure to the ongoing evaluation and design/development/implementation of IT Controls, Policies, Procedures
- An eagerness to play an instrumental role in a business wide IT Security awareness campaign
