INTRODUCTION:

For one of our clients in Basel we are looking for an experienced IT Security Manager.

ROLE:

Build basic security capabilities for virtualized hosting environment and associated services. Covers foundational capabilities which can later on be consumed by several other services and investment specific to the maturation of the Vblock hosting, Windows hosting, Linux hosting and Backup services which is covered by the Vblock maturation project. The designed concepts will be applicable for other of our client's virtualized system.
Fulfillment of security requirements for virtualized environment using Vblock as 1st consumer. Mitigation of high impact information risks to enable services to address threats Foundation for scalable services.

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST-HAVE
- Background includes senior "hands-on" experience and above average skills in either software development, networking, system engineering or system administration (eg Database administration, Host administration, SAP administration).
- Authors the following document types and ensures content-wise alignment with the involved project stakeholders: Database Risk Assessments
- Ensures that internal Information Security policies are applied to.
- Responsible to continously consult project team members on security matters and to raise security awareness.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, as well as creativity in presenting alternatives to remediate information risks with time and budget constraints.
- Responsible to perform peer reviews of security relevant documents and onboarding of new peer staff where requested by designated manager.
- Responsible to report own achievements and activities including hours spent to designated manager.
- In addition responsible to report project risks and issues including possible resource constraints to designated manager and project team.
- Strong stakeholder assessment, interaction and communication skills and understanding of user implications respectively business needs.
- Ability to, in terms of deputieship, to lead a team of project information security managers and to pro-actively suggest effective methods and work procedures.
- Effective decision making capabilities.
- Stay abreast on the latest industry trends and best practices in information and IT security. Is able to effectively relate his/her technical expertise to varying organizational needs. Ability to work independently to define, manage, and complete activities.
- Excellent verbal, writing, documentation and communication skills Pre-requisites in addition are high ethical standards, flexibility and agility.
