IT Security Expert Description Are you looking for a challenging position? My client is looking for a full time IT Security professional who is hands on with Infrastructure and application security. The IT Security candidate will be providing centralized information security technical consulting services for all centralized and distributed computer systems, products, technologies, as well as network data security. Impact on the Business · Ensure compliance monitoring and internal controls are in place in accordance with and regulatory standards · Review, design and engineer security operational processes with current and new technologies to improve security controls and business performance · Review, analyze, and document current baseline technologies and develop target security architectures · Identify security exposures; recommend corrective action by conducting gap analyses · Research and evaluate data security enhancements to maintain or surpass industry standards · Propose data security enhancements to maintain or surpass industry standards · Define metrics and methodologies to measure security performance of applied new technologies Customers / Stakeholders · Provide security-consulting services to management in all business areas · Communicate status on deliverables · Perform application and infrastructure security testing for all lines of business, requiring specialized security skills Qualifications *A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science or related field with ten to twelve years progressive experience in information security including a minimum five years' experience working with diverse security products*Strong infrastructure knowledge of various mainframe and distributed processing platforms (i.e., Active Directory, AS400, OS/390, PCs, HP, SUN, Novell, AIX, RS/6000, remote access security products, etc.)*Strong written and verbal communication skills*Five years of demonstrated project management knowledge and problem solving skills*Professional certifications in Information Security desirable (CISSP / CISM)*Strong infrastructure knowledge of networking protocols (WAN/LAN)*Proficiency in Python and C/C++. Skillful with IDA Pro, Hex-Rays Decompiler, Immunity Debugger, OllyDbg, or similar tools*Ability to unpack, analyze, and understand obfuscated executable binaries strongly preferred*Familiarity with state-of-the-art anti-debugging and anti-instrumentation techniques and countermeasures, detection, forensic, and other defensive tools and be able to analyze and understand their weaknesses strongly preferred*Intrusion detection/prevention knowledge and sniffer/firewall technologies (ISS, Sourcefire, Tipping Point) strongly preferred*Strong working knowledge of forensic media analysis*Proven and excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, communications, problem-solving and lateral thinking skills*Ability to work on security issues in cross-cultural global environments If you meet the following requirements please apply to Joseph Amanna at Huxley Associates
