350- 385 PER DAY (ALL INCLUSIVE)

My global client is seeking a IT Security Consultant for a contract role based in Luxembourg. The function consists in participating to the definition of IT security control objectives (best practices) and the overall control of their effectiveness in order to maintain information confidentiality, integrity and continuity

As an experienced IT Security Consultant you will possess the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Define and monitor security standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms and multiple systems environments and control their compliance
- Identify and assess IT security risk/exposure on new and existing infrastructure and projects
- Analyze security incidents and escalation of security events. Investigate and recommend appropriate corrective actions for IT security incidents
- Assist Senior Security Officers to liaise with OUR internal customers with regards to IT security incidents or any other security requests
- In the context of Security projects, ensure that cutting-edge controls are developed on an IT security perspective and participate actively to Operational Committees
- Perform second level of controls based on risks identification
- Analyze Security-related requests (eg Firewalls, privileged accesses, etc.) and provide advisory and validation

KEY SKILLS:

- A command of French is mandatory. An active knowledge of English is required.
- You have a university degree or a diploma from an engineering college with an IT orientation;
- You have competencies in the Networks field
- A recognised professional qualifications in the field of IT Security (eg CISA, CISSP, etc.) or a strong will to pass one is an asset
- You have successful experience of 1 to 2 years in IT Security or you have acquired a good general knowledge of IT Security processes and the principal technical environments (Mainframe, Windows, Unix, etc.)
- You are able to adapt, you enjoy working as part of a team and you have obvious relational and communication skills
- You have excellent analytical and editorial skills and the ability to assess a situation
- You are proactive, independent, accurate and aware of the importance of deadlines
- You are Security, Control and Risk minded
