IT Security Consultant

My client is an international telecommunications business and I am urgently looking for a French speaking Security Consultant to be based on site at their client in Brussels. This role is a day rate contract and will be for an initial 3 months with the opportunity to extend.

TASKS:

- Help/Guide implementation teams to ensure security requirements (developed by another staff) are appropriately understood and appropriately implemented within internal specific projects. These projects would typically be about developing/deploying Internet facing web sites or internal applications (Intranet/office automation). That would also cover mobile technology, specifically iOS devices.
- Support and/or guide intrusion tests through activities such as:
- Understanding business flows and application design
- Scenario definition for intrusion test
- Oversee execution of intrusion tests executed by external companies
- Based on the reporting findings, perform risk assessment according to company processes and procedures

Additional to the primary tasks described here above, the consultant would also provide guidance on tuning relevant detection operational controls in close cooperation with the operational team.

PROFILE OF CONSULTANT:

The consultant should have:

- Have a solid application level security expertise and related mitigations
- In-depth experience in securing web sites and web applications in general
- Having a security certification like CISSP is an asset
- Experience with Architecture Risk Analysis (ARA) is an asset
- Experience in secure coding practices is a nice to have
- French speaking

In support of the secondary task, the person should have been exposed to cyber incidents in the recent past
