IT Security Consultant
Edelway is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. One of our best clients, a global multinational company based in the French speaking part of Switzerland, is currently looking for an IT Security Consultant to join them on a long term basis.
THE ROLE
Participate in the activities of the IT Security team which includes cross team engagement to ensure our client and the wider Group are not being exposed to threats and risk through the Geneva operations.
The position will require working with the local team and the whole group to ensure that issues identified are being resolved and to assure that the local teams are deploying their resources in a manner that respects the group's security framework.
YOU WILL
1. IT Controls
* Coordinating the extraction logs from various systems
* Reviewing actions performed by the teams
* Logging review
* Determining whether the action is in breach of standards
* Escalation to the IT Management team
* Be responsible for continual improvement on this process
* You are familiar with the following technologies: UNIX, Windows, MS SQL
2. Ensure all Security Patch Notifications are deployed in a timely manner
* Receiving SPN notification from the team and other suppliers
* Co-ordinating and tracking with the teams within local IT to ensure that the systems are patched in the required timeline
3. Management of the privileged account password system
* Provisioning of passwords to IT Administrators for performing non standard activities
* Challenging of the request information
* Escalation to IT Management in the event of suspicious behaviour
* Experience with e-DMZ preferable
4. System compliance
* Co-ordinate scans performed by group systems - both internal and external
* Perform local scans on systems that are newly deployed. The tool used for this is McAfee Vulnerability Manager (formerly Foundstone).
* Co-ordinate the resolution of vulnerabilities discovered by both scans within the defined timelines
* Escalate to IT Management in the event of a critical vulnerability or where resolution plans do not match timelines required by stakeholders.
YOU NEED
* Fluent French and English
* Relevant experience in a similar position
