IT SECURITY ARCHITECT, ALICANTE

A new exciting opportunity is available in Alicante for an ENGLISH-SPEAKING IT SECURITY ARCHITECT expertise.

TASKS:

- Managing IT Security projects, - driven by self-initiative, audits and/or IT Architecture requests;
- Providing IT Services for IT Architecture
- Representing IT Security for IT Development activities during Impact Assessment Review meetings, for any change request that requires security changes;
- Monthly monitoring of the IT Environments;
- Provision of IT Services to ensure correct application of IT Security Standards;
- Performance of the relevant IT Security audits to ensure the correct implementation of the IT Security Policies (and ensuring that recommendations of given audits are followed-up appropriately);
- Recommending necessary improvements to ensure IT Service Continuity in the event of a disaster or similar.
- Ensure correct application of the IT Security policy;
- Establishment of a clear view on the IT Security Level of IT Environments (Dev, Test, Preprod, Prod);
- Establishment of an annual IT Security audit plan (part of IT Security annual plan), - including the list of audits to be performed and a central (unique) list of all results of all previous audits whereby recommendations/pending actions are actively pursued;
- Establishment of specific IT Security requirements during the design phase of the applications, and including these requirements in the Technical Orientation Architecture Document (TOAD);
- Provision of advice and recommendation for the necessary IT Security/BCP initiatives to ensure IT Service Continuity in the event of a disaster or something similar;
- Management of projects/Provision of feasibility advice on new security tools, as these become required;

SKILLS
- Must be responsible, flexible and able to take decisions;
- Experience in IT project management will constitute an advantage;
- Network security, perimeter defence tools: IDS/IPS, Reverse Proxy;
- SOA implementation, particularly security aspects;
- Knowledge of the ISO27001 standard.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- University diploma/degree;
- Have a minimum of 10 years Full time professional experience in the field of IT;
- Knowledge and proven experience of at least 5 years in IT Security;
- Experience in network security in environments with a high security level.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

- Fluent English;
- Any other European language is an asset. Spanish skills are not required.

This position is offered as a freelance contract (autonomo). The initial duration is 8-9 months, but an extension is very likely. Remote work is not possible - candidates need to move to Alicante and be present 5 days/week, Monday-Friday.
