IT Security Architect

IT ENTERPRISE SECURITY ARCHITECT

BASED IN NORTH WEST OR LONDON
3 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE, POSSIBLE SCOPE FOR EXTENSION

IT Enterprise Security Architect required to deliver key work in a limited time frame focusing on the overall enterprise architecture, protective monitoring and set intelligence.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for the development of Enterprise IT Security Architecture and Strategic Roadmap for the organisation's Future Operating Model to provide a security operating model, framework and blue print for ensuring that business and IT services can deploy, at pace, cohesive and proportionate security risk controls which are based upon a portfolio of reusable IT security capabilities.
* Responsible for IT Security Strategy, including cyber security services, protective monitoring, threat intelligence management, risk reporting, and supplier security performance management; constantly improving performance, flexibility, reliability and value for money.
* Responsible for developing enterprise IT security capability strategies and delivery frameworks, working in conjunction with colleagues within IT and the business to deliver business objectives
* Providing strategic direction in IT Security aligned with business needs, maximising longevity of IT investment, and demonstrating a practical balance of contribution to business value and risk.
* Responsible for the ownership, maintenance and communication of IT Security Strategies
* Responsible for undertaking specific studies into the IT Security risk from the use and application of technology and business changes with Client Groups and Corporate functions to aid the development of a single IT Strategy and Architecture.
* Responsible for maintaining strategic IT direction and alignment in the design and development of the Business, Application, Information and Technical Architecture.
* Consulting with technology towers to ensure deliverability and operability of IT security architecture across all viewpoints
* Responsible for proactive monitoring of technical futures and identifying opportunities and impact for the department

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Proven experience in the design, implementation and operation of large scale enterprise IT security architecture programmes, involving multiple suppliers.
* Experience of cyber security, online payments security, privacy protection, business process analysis, cloud security, identity management, threat intelligence management, risk management and reporting, supplier security performance management, and legal and regulatory compliance.
* Experience of leading, engaging and managing people and teams and driving change in a Matrix environment
* Experienced in the definition and delivery of IT strategies delivering business value including strategic planning or developing strategic capabilities within a large and complex multi-supplier organisation
* Proven track record of having exploited information and technology for business benefit and innovation within a corporate environment
* Knowledge of strategic planning and modelling frameworks.
* Extensive experience of working with senior executives in a large and complex federated business environment.
* Proven ability to articulate, to a professional standard, complex technical ideas in clear, informative and accessible language, tailored as necessary for the intended audience.
* Highly developed networking and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong enterprise IT security architect with a deep understanding of IT security risk in a business context and have experience of developing and implementing proportionate strategies for controlling those risks.
* Expertise in IS and IT strategy formulation using a broad range of strategic analysis techniques
* Experienced user of industry standard enterprise architecture frameworks such as Zachman/TOGAF/SABSA
* Understanding of industry best practice in the use of IS/IT enabled business change
* Ability to influence executive/senior management
* Proficient in methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing directing, co-ordinating and monitoring ongoing activities demonstrated by experience
* CISSP, CLAS or equivalent qualification.
