IT Security and Systems Infrastructure Specialist

A Premier Public Service Department requires an IT Security and Systems Infrastructure Specialist for their cyber security project. The professional needs to be a highly skilled and experienced ICT specialist who will assist in the delivery of critical ACBPS security infrastructure and capability. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist in the development of Functional and Non-Functional Business Requirements Statements, which address and conform to DSD's Information Security Manual.

Assist in the design, development and delivery of quality solutions which address the Services security business requirements,

Deliver solutions in accordance with ACBPS system development, Testing, Quality Assurance and implementation framework.

Deliver quality solutions and capability within strict deadlines.

Design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise security related systems within the existing corporate network in federal department.

Perform systems engineering functions in the development, deployment, support and management of these systems.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Demonstrate experience working on large projects with minimal supervision,

Demonstrate experience implementing systems by following design documentation,

Demonstrated experience in developing system documentation and operational and maintenance guides

Assist in defining and execute ongoing administration and health check and maintenance plans, procedures, and operations for engineered systems,

Participate in mandated System reviews as required,

Demonstrate ability to work in a small team environment within timeframe constraints with subcontractors, in achieving assigned project objectives, deliverables and be responsibility for technical quality and cost performance,

Good written and verbal communications skills to support technical feedback and advice, technical documentation, management reporting and vendor communications,

Demonstrated compliance to the APS Code of Conduct.

Demonstrate the ability to proactively monitor, identifying, report, make recommendations and resolve complex program level risks and action items,

Ensuring all customer requirements are understood and addressed at the system level,

Ensuring effective integration of the technical approach across multiple integrated product teams (IPTs) spanning several partner subcontractors,

Ensuring a coherent system level technical approach to meet customer requirements, and for integrating program wide presentations (eg requirements reviews, design reviews) to effectively convey the approach

Relevant experience providing detailed engineering support (level 3) as part of a technical support team,

Experience in infrastructure support for mission critical applications,

Demonstrate 5+ years of experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Server and other related technologies,

Demonstrate 5+ years Server virtualization implementation and management experience,

Demonstrate experience installing and supporting HP Server hardware including enclosures, Virtual connect, and other server hardware,

Demonstrate experience with storage systems,

Demonstrate experience working in large Data Centre environments with segregated networks,

Demonstrate experience with next generation IDS/IPS appliances, and

Demonstrated experience in addressing PSPF and ISM security criteria applying to FMA Act 1997 agencies.
