IT Security Analyst- 6 Months Exeter

Certes have been instructed to recruit an IT Security Analyst to join our public sector client based in Exeter on an initial 6 month contract. The role will be paying the market rate.

An IT Security Analyst is required to:

- Support the development of Information Assurance and Accreditation documentation;
- Assist checking compliance with applicable regulations, standards, policies and guidance on information risk management;
- Identify, analyse and evaluate information risks;
- Explain to risk owners and other stakeholders the causes, likelihood and potential business impacts of information risks throughout the Information system life cycle.

Candidates should come to the role with:

- Experience of working as an Information Assurance professional ideally within a medium or large organisation.
- Knowledge of either HMG Security Policy Framework or ISO 27001;
- Knowledge and experience of IT with demonstrable experience of the application of IT Security;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate with technical and business people;
- The ability to produce clear and accurate technical and business documentation; and
- The ability to rapidly assimilate new information and make sound judgements to ensure minimum risk to the organisation.
