Job Description:
The IT Quality & Test Engineer is responsible for the creation, execution and documentation of the tests necessary to ensure that applications and technical environments meet the requirements (technical, functional and non-functional). Senior test engineers plan, organize and control all test activities and are responsible for achieving the defined test goals and implementing the testing, as well as overseeing the associated communication and training activities. The senior Test Engineer has significant solution domain expertise in one or more areas and is responsible for managing test projects as well as mentoring and delegating to junior testers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complying with test strategy, testing standards, templates and test plan
- Ensuring defect management
- Reporting on test progress
- Performing effort estimation
- Conducting tests and documents/logs test results and defects
- Defining, refining and executing test cases and provide evidences
- Developing test cases and reporting on execution
- Performing Functional Testing to assess for Accuracy, Suitability, Interoperability, Functional, Accessibility
- Performing Non-Functional Testing to assess for Security, Reliability, Efficiency, Maintainability, Portability
- Performing regression testing for project, product and PRV (Production Readiness Verification)
- Designing and creating test data
- Ensuring testing environment version control
- Cleaning up test data within the used test environment
- Creating test data based on predefined requirements
- Cleaning up test data within the used test environment
- Performing communications as per project communications plan
- Embed Risk Awareness by designing and operating an effective control environment, proactively identifying and raising control deficiencies and driving diligent and sustainable risk remediation.
