IT Quality Consultant

An exciting opportunity for an IT QUALITY CONSULTANT is available in Brussels, major center for international politics and home of numerous international organizations, politicians, diplomats and civil servants.
Nature of tasks:
- Definition, elaboration and management of quality tests
- IS Quality control and evaluation
- Provision of quality studies, quality assessments or other quality matters associated with information system projects
- Advice on quality improvements
We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
- Minimum 13 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school
- Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum a total of 3 years in one or more of the following areas: IT Quality Assurance, Quality Control, testing methodologies or tools, or with quality standards
- Strong experience in IT Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- In-depth experience with quality procedures (eg ISO 10006:2003)
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards
- Good knowledge of testing standards (eg ISO 17015), methodologies and tools (like Selenium, Jmeter, SoapUI)
- Extensive experience in testing of Web Services (SOAP and Rest)
- Ability to prepare and manage test data (good level of SQL)
- Experience in Definition of test plans and/or Coordination of test activities (eg as a test manager)
- Test automation skills
- Good knowledge in IT consulting matters
- Good knowledge of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)
- Good knowledge of information systems life cycle
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP)
- Rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working
- Proactive attitude, communicative (ie good listener) and customer-oriented
- Experience in a multicultural environment
- Good knowledge of English (spoken, written)
The candidate should be able to start the position as soon as possible. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
