IT Quality Assurance Analyst Lead

We are specifically looking for a Senior Level QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST with extensive experience with SharePoint v2010 (exposure to 2013 is a plus). The testing experience for SharePoint is a must and is a critical for the position. The candidate needs to be experienced in leading and working with functional and technical team to build and execute test cases, manage through defects and experienced in the software development life cycle including waterfall and agile SCRUM process. The position requires the understanding and experience with test case and defect management tool such as TFS.

JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION:

- Establishes, sustains, drives, and monitors quality assurance processes, practices, and controls in support of application and system requirement, development and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment life cycles.
- Provides leadership and consulting on quality assurance methodology.
- Leads quality improvements to requirement, development and test procedures and responsible for the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and tools.
- Mentors and directs other quality assurance analysts.
- Provides status report information, escalates issues and problems demanding management attention and resolution.
- Mentors and directs other quality assurance analysts, promoting teambuilding and professional development.
- Ensures requirements and design artifacts undergo reviews to proactively validate appropriate applicability, accuracy, feasibility, usability, clarity, and testability.
- Manages the development and maintenance of quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts.
- Monitors progress of testing and makes necessary changes to test plans, cases and scripts to ensure that quality standards and production deadlines are met.
- Responsible for defining and maintaining quality assurance testing best practices, initiates and documents processes and procedures improvements.
- Leads the continuous improvement of quality assurance practices, tools and methodologies.
- Assesses impacts on related business, functional, development and test teams.
- Researches and recommends new technologies and methods.
- Monitors and communicates progress of overall quality assurance activities and recommends changes to the strategies and processes to ensure that quality standards and practices are being followed.
- Leads and manages data, environment and configuration requirements.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

- Work experience in software requirements, development or testing with creating and executing quality assurance test plans, scenarios, cases, checklists and scripts: 7 years
- Experience in software requirements, development, and testing activities with multiple, simultaneous quality assurance efforts, and a track record as a contributor with providing quality assurance support in an analyst capacity, including tools development and usage: 7 years
- Demonstrated collaboration on project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles: 7 years
- Experience with programming languages and script development: 7 years
- Demonstrate test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools: 7 years
- Demonstrate knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools: 7 years
- Knowledge of project management skills, including an understanding of project management processes and related tools: 7 years
- Knowledge of application software development life cycle concepts, lean and agile best practices, environment and configuration management, and test management methodologies and practices: 7 years
- MUST HAVE SHAREPOINT EXPERIENCE
- Ability to research and recommend new and/or enhancements to processes and tools, based not only on technical factors, but financial and cultural as well
- Technical systems knowledge for various applications and systems
- Ability to manage and delegate numerous concurrent project, activities, and tasks under time constraints
- Ability to and instruct and educate others on developing applicable test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts
- Outstanding organization and planning skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent risk mitigation and process improvement skills

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
