IT Purchasing Administrator

We have an exciting opening for a IT PURCHASING ADMINISTRATOR with our progressive client in Columbia, SC. This is a 12 MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with EXCELLENT BENEFITS available.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-- Purchase IT hardware, software and services that meet the needs of the business.
-- Minimize price and maximize cost improvement.
-- Participate in and/or lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
-- Meet SLAs.
-- Engage in the entire Req-to-Pay process.
-- Ensure on-time delivery of equipment.
-- Facilitate prompt payment.

CANDIDATE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:

-- Purchasing, finance, and/or budget management experience. (REQUIRED, 3 YEARS)
-- Deep knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and experience buying for or on behalf of the Federal Government. (REQUIRED, 3 YEARS)
-- Experience working in a large organization (REQUIRED, 3 YEARS)
-- Knowledge of AND experience in buying IT hardware, software and services. (REQUIRED)
-- Experience in working under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). (REQUIRED)
-- Experience in managing the procurement process for the FEP contract. (REQUIRED)
-- Strong negotiation skills. (REQUIRED)
-- Experience working with IBM Smart Cloud Control Desk or Maximo (HIGHLY DESIRED, 2 YEARS)
