IT PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER (ALICANTE)
An exciting opportunity is currently available in Alicante, Spain for an English-speaking PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER. This position is located in the Public Sector through an IT Service Provider.
We are looking for candidates with the following profile:
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of relevant experience as a PSO;
- Min. 2 year of experience in an IT role (development, support, etc.);
- Good knowledge of project management standards and methodologies;
- Ability to give presentations, to participate in multilingual meetings and good communication skills;
- Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks.
- PRINCE2 qualification would be an asset;
- Knowledge of MS Project (or equivalent tools) and document management systems would be an asset.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent English (written/oral).
- Knowledge of Spanish an advantage, but not mandatory.
TASKS:
- Produce project documentation for a number of projects (eg quality plan, monthly highlight reports, etc.);
- Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings;
- Provide Ad hoc analysis and reports for senior management;
- Provide administrative support to the project as required;
- Provide as requested project progress reports;
- Performs analytical review of reports;
- Monitor and record expended man-days from external contractors on each project.
This position is offered as a freelance contract, initially for 3 months; extensions then likely.
