IT Project Support Analyst

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT PROJECT SUPPORT ANALYST to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Project Support Analyst's role is to assist in the planning, design, development, and launch of efficient business, financial, and operation systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analysing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Project Support Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, to coordinate, identify and resolve systems issues.
- Participate in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations for build or buy and to support purchasing efforts.
- Identify cost-benefits and return on investments for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide guidance to development and support staff.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems and eight plus (8+) years of related work experience.
- Project Management training, certification and experience is highly desirable.
- Familiar with programming languages and software tools.
- Experience with core financial software applications, project accounting, payroll, time collection, and HRIS.
- Familiar with the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and applications development.
- Ability to develop an excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Familiar with SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Exposure to SOX, NIST, HPPA, ITIL, IACMMI, ITAR and other compliance standards impacting system design, development, support, security and privacy.
