IT Project Manager - Scrum Master

Seeking a very strong Scrum Master with at least 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager. This person will be leading Agile project coordination to support upstream and downstream teams. Typically, the Scrum Master PM will lead a matrixed team and once the project is complete, the PM will move to another project that will have a different team mixture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Management of complex, high value IT delivery projects that require the coordination of development work or technology work on multiple platforms to achieve desired functionality.
- Schedule/facilitate sprint planning meeting(s) prior to the beginning of each sprint
- Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to the backlog owner and stakeholders
- Support the Backlog Owner and Portfolio Manager in updating monthly the 30-60-90 release roadmap based on the health and priority of the stories of the backlog and planning poker estimates/sizing
- Schedule and facilitate daily stand up meetings Adding or removing stories based on burn-down of the current sprint
- Represent the team daily at the Scrum of Scrums (S2) meeting to report progress against burndown
- If deviating from the ideal burndown line, then communicate teams plan/commitment to get back to the line, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to the S3 to help resolve
- Facilitate retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint/project ensure highest priority retrospective points are followed up on and closed out
- Monitor team backlog in v1 daily and ensure it accurately reflects the current state, including time to be burned and status
- Coordinate as needed with other PM's, Resource Managers, or Portfolio Manages the delivery of non-development components
- Facilitate team representation in Sprint Reviews
- Participate in Release retrospective and cross team retrospectives
- Participate in customer councils if and when required
- Clarity management
- Project maintenance
- AIP, DTC Forecasting and budgeting
- Helping to manageme the roadmap (1-3 months+)
- Manage business relationships
- Act as a conduit to other teams with which the team is interacting

SKILLS

Proven and substantial experience leading complex Agile development or IT technology projects (typically 6+ years). A thorough knowledge of the IT development life cycle, the Agile Framework, Scrum and Kanban experience. Proficient in the use of Version One, the Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project. Previous exposure to Clarity a plus! Strong written and verbal communications. Strong drive to complete when faced with ambiguity. Ability to facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner. Exposure to or participation in upstream coaching from an Agile mentor (Sr. Agile Coach). Proven ability to lead large/complex matrixed team from many different internal groups and different locations and drive results through task coordination, handoffs, and overall delivery of solution.
