IT Project Manager

An exciting, long-term opportunity is available for an IT PROJECT MANAGER to join our team in Brussels assisting the European Commission's Research and Innovation Directorate General (DG RTD). DG RTD was created to achieve the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy and its key flagship initiative, the innovation Union. Our team are supporting a range of initiatives and projects within DG RTD to further these aims.

Tasks will include:

- Definition and analysis of the business requirements
- Definition, implementation, and configuration of the defined systems
- Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan
- Assistance to the definition of internal methodologies and application life cycle

We are searching for a candidate with the following profile

- Minimum of 12 professional experience, with at least 6 years of experience in Project Management and Business Analysis
- Knowledge of Rational Tools (RTC, RQM)
- Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience in Configuration Management would be an asset
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills
- Fluency (written and oral) in English and ability to follow conversation, meetings and read documents in French and/or English

The successful candidate should be able to start mid September.

This position is offered as a long-term freelance contract.
