IT Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage IT projects, initiation through close-out, as assigned and within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
- Provide leadership for IT project team members and the Project Management process.
- Position generally used for projects requiring integration of multiple functional organizations.
- Works independently and mentors other project managers.
- Responsible for the pursuit of cost reductions and maximizing value on all assigned projects.
- Responsible for project communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations.
- Directly accountable for the management of projects with an aggregate annual cash flow of over $3 million.
- Will be managing Oracle Customer Care & Billing system. SAP has CC&B product. This would also be transferable.
- Customizations are done in Java, but there would be no hands on development.
- Position works with regulatory projects, primarily with customer systems.
- This position would be required to manage between 2-3 projects. These projects are generally small, with budgets less than $1 million.

SKILLS:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Required: Experience managing application/software development
- Technical degree from accredited university. Computer Science or IT degree preferred. Engineering/Math ok as well.
- 5-10 year's experience as IT PM
- MBA or PMP are nice to have, but not required
- IT/Tech Project management background is required.
- Experience as an IT project Manager with custom development.
- At least 3-5 years as IT Project Manager.
- Good verbal and written communications and technical skills required.
- Any experience with Utilities/Customer Systems is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Project and Excel skills are a required.
- PMP certification a plus, not required.
- Energy/Utility experience a plus.
- Oracle CC&B Experience helpful.
- HP ALM experience helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel experience required.
