IT Project Manager

This is a CONTRACT engagement (C2C, W2)The project is scheduled to start May 18 and run for 12 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Leads multiple small to medium-sized complex project(s), or major subsets of large high risk and impact projects involving multiple staff across functional areas. Projects may include enterprise implementation, consists of multiple technology disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts.Follows PM methodology/framework, including risk management. Acts as a liaison between project team members, management, clients and external vendors. Communicates with various levels of stakeholders through reports and presentations; communication includes technical and program management and executive oversight groups.

ALL WORK MUST BE PERFORMED ON-SITE.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

- Familiar with project manager's book of knowledge (PMBOK)
- 5 years Project Management experience
- Excellent listening, planning and people skills are necessary to bridge the gap between the various stakeholders on a project.
- Technical skills required are a good knowledge of MS Office projects to include MS Project.

PREFERRED

- Current PMI PMP certification is a plus.
- Education environment experience is a plus.
- Additional software (Visio, Banner, Blackboard, Canvas, Remedy) is a plus.

Experience:
Min 5 years Project Management, PMBOK expertise. PMP cert and Higher Education experience major plus
