Our high-visibility client provides companies with the tools to better manage spending, deepen supplier relationships, and improve business decision-making by integrating payment and procurement processes into enterprise management systems. The Project Manager will report into the Commercial PMO and be responsible for managing and delivering multiple, highly complex software development and/or integration projects in a very fast-paced environment with matrixed cross functional team members from multiple geographic locations.

Primary responsibilities include developing project plan and charter package, managing project funding request process, identifying project risks and mitigation plan, developing comprehensive project schedule, providing project status reports, tracking project status at task level, scheduling and conducting project meetings, providing meeting agenda and taking minutes, managing project change requests, tracking project issues/action items to closure, managing project financials including budgeting, forecasting and tracking, developing deployment plan and managing production installation. The Project Manager is also responsible for providing directions and ensuring all project activities and deliverables are adhering to Project Management Methodologies and in compliance with Key Controls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- ACTIVE PMP CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or related engineering field required; Advanced degree in engineering or MBA preferred
- 15 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in software product development and IT technical project management in Financial or Payment industry, data management, business intelligence, and online reporting areas required
- Must have hands-on IT Project Management experience spanning across all phases in software solution development life cycle including requirements analysis, application design, development, testing, deployment planning and production installation
- Must have hands-on, end-to-end project financial management experience and skills including project budget development, forecasting and tracking, contract management, variance analysis and balancing
- Expert level fluency in using the following project management tools: Clarity, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office suite (Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Direct technical project manager experience in delivery software solutions using Ab Initio, Cognos, Microstrategy, Unix/Linux and .NET technologies
- Need to know how to map out technology for a project
- Very strong communication and business writing skills
- Superb time management skills, highly productive and organized
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills
- Learns quickly and can work independently
