IT PROJECT MANAGER FOSTER CITY, CA 7 MONTHS CONTRACT

MUST HAVE SKILLS: Understanding of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc. (Coding or Scripting not required.) Strong troubleshooting ability. Ability to resolve production issues. Comfortable in a very fast-paced environment and being constantly on the move.

NICE TO HAVE: Expert knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The main function of an IT Project Manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
- Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures
- Triage incoming production issues
- Assign issues to Live Ops developers
- Track issues and resolve blockages until RCA complete
- Maintain the Live Ops Jira dashboard
- Produce weekly, monthly, and longer-term performance metrics with particular focus on RCA SLAs
- Coordinate handoff of issues to Playspan component teams for resolution
- Identify error patterns and work with Live Quality to address
- Keep senior management fully apprises of all critical live issues
- Improve Live Ops processes for maximum efficiency
- Be thoughtful, always reviewing internal processes and interfaces with other teams for possible improvements
- Significant on-call responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience required
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Expert ability to work independently and manage ones time
- Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
- Expert knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
- Expert knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
- Must sit onsite in Foster City
