IT Project Manager

OUR DIRECT CLIENT IN WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ IS IN NEED OF AN IT PROJECT MANAGER TO FILL A 9-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION. THE CLIENT IS SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PM WHO HAS EXTENSIVE DETAILED HAND-ON SDLC OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING \'CONTROLLED\' APPLICATION CHANGES/IMPLEMENTATIONS (EG, NOT NETWORK/TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE TYPE PROJECTS).

Overtime: straight time

- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Commensurate Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in technology, business, management or project leadership (experience in the Financial Services industry a plus)
- Experience managing in a Matrix environment
- Demonstrated experience in project management and/or team leadership with high quality (ie proven track record)
- Results oriented and analytical with the ability to lead others
- Innovative, flexible and adaptable
- Good understanding of IT environments/technologies
- Good written and verbal communication, relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills
- PMI or PMP certification desired
