IT Project Manager

Job Title: IT Project Manager Contract: 6 months Location: London Rate: £250 - £300 per day Start: March / April 2013 Key Skills: Project Manager, Programme Management, Business Cases, Cost / Benefit Analysis, Procurement Project Details: My client based in Central London currently has a fantastic opportunity for an IT Project Manager to join his team on a 6 month contract. Within the framework of my client's shared services programme, he requires an experienced programme/project manager to support the Director of IT and his management team to develop specific projects arising from the IT strategy and its constituent business areas. The primary aim is to expand its range of shared services (products and customers), including programme co-ordination and bringing together specific business case proposals for procuring external partners and collaborative ventures. To be considered for the role you must have the following expeirence: - Experience of programme and project management in large complex organisations - Proven experience of drawing up business and investment cases involving IT - Financially literate with experience of cost/benefit analysis - Experience of IT business development projects (technical IT knowledge not required) - Proven experience of drawing up service specifications/data in alignment with strategy - Exposure to shared services and ability to hold commercially sensitive conversations - Some knowledge of partnership and procurement options (detailed technical procurement knowledge not required) to be able to liaison with procurement experts - Excellent writing skills - Ability to work on own initiative, overcome barriers and move the project forward If you have the above experience and would like to know more about how to apply, please call Tom Paine on 0207 851 7808.
