IT Professional Interested in Banking IT Security

Highly analytical IT professional with a passion for IT Security? - 30-55K+ Hedgefund Bonus Location:London A leading global systematic trading house/hedgefund is looking to hire a highly analytical IT support/infrastructure (Windows) or Networking professional with a genuine passion for or experience in IT security. A good academic or professional qualification in IT Security or a related IT/Computing subject is highly desirable. The team are looking for people with either strong networking skills who are interested in Network Security or someone with good Windows skills who is interested in Systems Security. Experience managing big data sets that could contain potential security events, and using business intelligence to it to turn the data in to more meaningful information would be ideal, therefore any automation/scripting experience is desirable. The role will also involve audit projects, security frameworks and safeguarding of business critical information and systems. Desirable skill set (not all essential): * · IT infrastructure support experience 'Windows' OR 'Networking'. (Windows Server, Active Directory, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxy, segmentation, routing, switching) * · IT Security Knowledge/Exposure eg Antivirus/DLP/SIEM * · Datamining / Data warehousing skills - Databases - SQL * · Scripting - Powershell or Perl in particular or SQL is applicable This is a rare opportunity and while experience in all the skills above would be ideal, the company will help drive their development in the IT Security and related areas provided the person shows genuine motivations for working within IT Security as a career.
