IT Procurement Specialist

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an IT PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST with one of our leading clients in Secaucus, NJ.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for working closely with the Information Technology organization to source and negotiate the purchase of goods and services in various IT spend categories. The incumbent will develop and maintain strong relationships with peers across the IT function and with vendors. The role reports to the Sr. Director, Business Systems.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and lead time.
- Define and drive cost reduction/value improvements in IT spend categories including software, hardware, networking, telecom and IT Services.
- Proactively work with stakeholders across IT to identify opportunities for cost savings through price and or specification changes, and improvements in quality.
- Create and issue purchase orders as they are approved using our PeopleSoft system.
- Track and record status of orders, delivery schedules and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate record keeping.
- Identify, create and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Interface with colleagues and vendors from around the globe in support of our regional offices.

Job Qualifications:
- Internship or at least one to two (1 - 2) years of experience in the acquisition of IT hardware, software, services, networking hardware and services and telecommunications hardware and services.
- A strong background and knowledge of software technologies, suppliers and IT procurement subject matter expertise.
- Four (4) year degree required.
- Minimum of one to two (1 - 2) year experience in a purchasing environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional communications and customer service skills.
