IT PROCUREMENT AND VENDOR CONSULTANT/NEW TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION/GLOBAL ORGANISATION

Our client a Global FTSE Organisation is looking for an IT Procurement and Vendor Consultant to act as a facilitator for introducing new technologies and vendors to the business and brings together the vendor and supplier management activities. There are a significant number of potential areas that could benefit from a collective engagement with strategic suppliers, the incumbent will identify potential services and lead the procurement process from RFP through to completion.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Collaborates with business unit heads and service managers to understand the business needs and translate them into technology capabilities that can be fulfilled by external providers
- Identifies new and existing technology offerings such as cloud/packaged applications or infrastructure services in the market, which can be used across different services
- Conducts market research to identify price benchmarks for new product and service offerings for effective contract negotiation
- Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with multiple external service providers
- Creates and maintains a catalogue of technology services offered by multiple vendors
- Collaborates with service managers to create service level agreements and defines the service level metrics to evaluate the performance of external services providers
