IT Problem Manager

Working for the largest Housing Association in the South and South West of England we currently require an IT Problem Manager, initially until 31 March 2015, to be based in either Newbury, Bristol, Exeter, Basingstoke, Abingdon or Ringwood. The focus of this pivotal role is to lead the introduction of an effective problem management function, ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place which will ultimately speed up resolution times and result in less disruption to business critical systems.

The Problem Manager will be responsible for shaping and defining this function, taking direct ownership of Problem Management and working with colleagues and key stakeholders throughout the business. You will develop and manage a problem management process within Service Delivery to identify root causes and set up a known error database to prevent problems from happening and eliminate reoccurring incidents.

To succeed in this role candidates must have hands on problem management experience. You will also require strong Excel, data extraction and reporting skills to analyse a high volume of call data and identify trends using an IT Service Management toolset. Accomplished stakeholder management, investigative and resolution skills are also essential for this role and SQL skills are desirable.
