IT PMO Manager

For one of our clients located in Brussels, we are currently looking for an
IT PMO MANAGER
Scope of work:
- Lead and develop the IT-PMO activities
- Develop an operational structure to manage an outsourcing program
- Oversee the execution of a contractual relationship with the IT department of the mother company (TSA - Transitional service Agreement) after the divestiture of the subsidiary
The person will report to the IT Director of the subisdiary organization. There will be one person reporting to this role (PMO coordinator).
Primary responsibilities and activities related to the IT-PMO activities include a majority of the following:
- Define and drive "rightsized" project management processes (especially, supporting quality assurance). A new portfolio management process is being set-up and will need to be refined and executed (Prince2 based).
- Identify necessary management structures for IT-projects, and secure the management involvement required.
- Continually identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks.
- Drive proper project chartering and setup.
- Maintain strategic alignment of projects by analysing charters and reviewing with management decision makers
- Follow-up and report on the progress of projects in the portfolio and on any resource issues.
Related to setting the outsourcing management program, activities will include:
- Develop a framework (metrics, governance, ITIL-based) to follow-up on the execution of an outsourcing program of IT services (datacenter, application support, network, Workstation management and service desk)>Start executing on the framework with the stakeholders involved
Related to the oversight of the TSA, activities will include:
- Follow-up and report on issues in the pipeline of being processed through the TSA
- Stay aligned with any exit- and transition plans with respect to the TSA
- Follow-up and report on the costs of the TSA
Skills and experience required:
- Several years of proven experience in a (senior) IT manager role. Good understanding of IT infrastructure and applications.
- Experience in IT outsourcing and vendor management - has overseen (client side) or has executed (vendor side) an IT outsourcing project.
- Project management certification (Prince2)
