IT Planning Analyst

Automotive Industry leader looking for a IT Planning Analyst to support project and program level work for the IT Ops department in the areas of Finance and Capacity Planning. Responsibilities are inclusive of tracking and providing reports for IT Ops project budgets and monthly forecasts, closely coordinating capacity management activities with the IT Ops management team while possessing the ability to work independently to drive the monthly planning processes. This position partners with the Capacity Manager to track department project labor performance, provide weekly resource plan updates and review PPM plans to ensure committed resources are assigned correctly.

Responsibilities Include:

- Working with IT Finance, IT Planning and IT Ops resource managers to prepare labor updates and forecasts.
- Assisting with headcount analysis and organization changes for IT Ops department.
- Provide Type 4 work entry into PPM tool, including labor and non-labor forecasts.
- Provide Type 1 work entry into PPM tool for labor forecasts.
- Ensure IT Planning has the current view of IT Ops labor allocations.
- Updating SharePoint with work type analysis reports.
- Coordinate communications between all IT departments.

Minimum Qualifications

- 1-3 years' work experience in business, project operations or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to build and manage spreadsheet models for problem solving purposes.
- Experience in operations resource or capacity planning is a plus.
- Strong experience with MS Excel.
- Experience in MS Project is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful characteristics: attention to detail, analytical insight, adaptability in changing environment.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, operations research, operations management, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
