IT OPERATIONS PROJECT MANAGER (PROCUREMENT RELATED) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT client located in UNIVERSAL CITY, CA

The Big Picture:

- Our client is looking for a MID-LEVEL PM WITH IT KNOWLEDGE, NOT A NEGOTIATOR, NOT A BUYER, just a good communicator that can TRANSLATE BETWEEN THE IT TEAM FOLKS AND THE SOURCING STAFF

What You'll Be Doing:

- THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT ROLE: You will be the LIAISON BETWEEN the IT teams and the Procurement group. You will gather requirements, refine it and coordinate with the procurement team for all IT needs
- IT Procurement Operations Manager will focus primarily as the lead on all technical and functional Source to CONTRACT RELATED INITIATIVES, SUCH AS SUPPLY BASE MANAGEMENT, CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, ERFX, REVERSE AUCTION, PROCUREMENT POLICY GOVERNANCE, RISK MANAGEMENT, AND SPEND ANALYTICS.
- Work directly with IT to identify requirements, propose solutions, and ensure ROI.
- Develop functional requirement documents.
- Strategize with stakeholders.
- Develop the scope with technical leads and operations.
- Manage the ongoing vendor relationship.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or other IT related fields
- Experience with implementing large scale Procurement Operations Tools and Integrated Platforms
- MINIMUM FIVE (5) YEAR EXPERIENCE WITH ERP OR PROCUREMENT PLATFORM (SAP, ORACLE, SRM, ARIBA)
- Able to develop training guides, procedural documentation, process maps, and workflow diagrams.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (Liability, Commitment, G/L Postings etc)
- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office Tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio, Word)
- EXPERIENCE WITH WORKING WITH GEOGRAPHICALLY DISPERSED TEAMS.
- The ideal candidate would be someone who can interact with IT to implement solutions while still maintaining focus on business needs.
- DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO IMPLEMENT PROCUREMENT POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND PROGRAMS TO DRIVE CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE ORGANIZATION.
- Basic Understanding of CONTRACT MANAGEMENT TOOLS, ERFX TOOLS, AND THE SOURCE TO CONTRACT AND PROCURE TO PAY PROCESSES.
- The role will interact with individuals at all levels and establish strong internal relationships across functions.
- Strong communications skills are required.
